Bangladesh Cyclone death toll at 2,000

Cyclone Sidr hit Bangladesh this week as a category 4 cyclone, with wind speeds up to 150 miles per hour.  The Asian country is poverty-ridden, which makes aid all the more challenging.  Bangladesh is low-lying which makes it susceptible to flooding, this is what demolished the rice crops.  Organizations such as the U.S. Agency for Internation Development (USAID), Save the Children, World Vision, and the Red Crescent airlifted supplies to the area of question, and are aiding those in need.  Sadly, the death toll  is expected to rise as bodies are uncovered from debris.

Husband viewed as a suspect in wife’s disappearance.

Stacy Peterson, wife of Sgt. Drew Peterson went missing while going to visit her sister on a Sunday morning.  She is the fourth wife of Sgt. Drew Peterson, and the couple have two young children.  However, speculations arose when the mysterious bath tub drowning death of Peterson’s third wife was reviewed.  Since then the body of the third wife has been exhumed, and a medical examiner revealed that her death was in fact no accident.  This comes upon the news that Drew Peterson was named a suspect in his wife’s disappearance.  He claims that she ran away with another man, and is very much alive.  Friends and relatives of Stacy beg to differ, claiming she continually told them that if she went missing, Drew killed her.
